About This Site

I'm a father in my forties. For most of my career I've worked on the content side of the education industry — years of it spent close to classrooms, campuses and families, watching what happens when psychology theories meet actual children. I've also built my share of content that reached large audiences of parents, which teaches you humility about what advice people can actually use.

A few years ago I started reading psychology seriously — Adler, cognitive behavioral therapy, nonviolent communication, internal family systems, solution-focused brief therapy — not as an academic, but as a parent trying to use these ideas at home and a professional trying to use them at work.

Since 2026, I've also been running a 20-year family project: reading and deconstructing 1,000 books to share with my own child. Many articles here are born from that reading pipeline.

This site is deliberately anonymous. No real names — not mine, not my family's, not any school's or employer's, and no location. What's real is the reading, the field notes, and the honest part where a theory didn't work the way the book promised.
